What’s The Difference Between The PS Email In A Joint Venture And A Solo Email Joint Venture?

PS Email In A Joint Venture Versus A Solo Email Joint Venture

A solo email is when the entire email joint venture is dedicated to the email.  The entire offer is one email; that’s a solo email.

That’s where I have a product I come to you as my joint venture partner and say will you email this offer to your list?  That person says yes, they have an affiliate link it’s the entire content on my email and that’s called a solo email.

A PS email is where I go to someone and say will you mail your list?  They say why should I mail my list?  I’ll give you 50% of my profits.  They say why should I get 50% when I can keep 100% of my own?  I say I’ll give you 60%, which they say isn’t good enough.

Why won’t you do a solo email? I won’t do a solo email they say, because that’s going to take up one of the 52 slots I’m mailing every year and I make money for each of those 52 slots, 100% of the money.  I say, well would you at least test my offer to see if it’s worthy of a solo email?

They ask me how to do that and you explain how they do an email PS.  My joint venture partner with the big list says what’s an email PS?  You explain PS stands for post script and rather than dedicating the entire solo email to your offer, which they’ll get 70% of anyway what you’ll do instead is let you write two or three lines and put it in a PS at the bottom of the solo email.

That way you have two offers, but the second offer is just a post script, so it won’t take the eyeballs from the offer.  With email it’s not the same as the written word with direct mail where people go to the PS first.  With email people read from top to bottom, so the PS is the last thing they read.

It won’t affect what solo email you’re sending.  Would you be willing to do that miss or mister JV partner?  They say yes they’ll test it and if it tests well you can then ask if it would be okay to do a solo email, because you know it’ll work?

That may be a possibility and that’s the difference between a solo email and a PS email.  A PS is a couple lines that doesn’t take up the entire solo email and it’s a lot less resistance on the part of a partner with a big list that’s critically important.
