Answer: A good ethical bribe is asking the question, giving away an audio transcript, a digital recording or a PDF transcript, anything that’s digital and instant. You want instant gratification. Let us explain.

Good Ethical Bribe
So if they get to ask a question that’s called a content squeeze page. Why is it a content squeeze page? You’re squeezing out the email address and their first name. Sometimes you’re squeezing out their city if that’s relevant to you. Most importantly, you’re squeezing out content.
If it’s a question they’re asking you or answering from you that you want some kind of response that’s a great ethical bribe. Most people don’t look at that as an ethical bribe, but it’s great.
The most powerful squeeze pages on earth I’ve found are content squeeze pages. Another powerful ethical bribe is a free teleseminar. That’s not instant gratification, but it is audio and virtual. The reason you want it either audio virtual or written virtual is that you don’t want it to cost you anything.
You don’t want to go broke giving away ethical bribes. Even when you’re giving away a CD, if it’s not a free ethical bribe it’s okay to give away a CD and charge $5.95 for shipping and handling, because you’re self-liquidating that physical CD.
Giving away a CD for free and mailing the CD away I don’t believe in that, because you are doing this with prospects and prospects aren’t family. Customers, students, clients whatever you call them they’re family, but not prospects.
The best ethical bribe is something that’s instant, something that’s digital and something that doesn’t cost you anything. I’ll give you an example of an ethical bribe getting people into a $20 call.
If you go to VBTPreviewCall.com the ethical bribe at the bottom of the page is a seven-step action plan that’s digital and audio, so it has a double whammy appeal to people. It’s not only digital written, but digital auditory, so I’m getting both senses involved.
That’s an ethical bribe from someone who paid $20. What does the $20 call cost me? It costs me nothing to do it. It costs my time if I’m doing a $20 call, but it costs me nothing. It’s a great ethical bribe, the seven-step action plan and it’s a great case study simply because it’s an audio digital training and teaching.
It’s also supporting what I ultimately want to sell. If you want to sell something make sure that you’re raising someone’s heat or energy or you’re getting them warmer to what it is you’re ultimately selling in your call to action.
These seven step action plans for this particular ethical bribe is selling the $20 call, which is selling a course called Virtual Book Tour System, so it’s a multi-step process, but the ethical bribe works extremely well. Based on tests, that’s the best ethical bribe so far in the history of this campaign.
Why is there a seven-step action plan, because that relates as pre-training to the final training that’s being sold, so if you have pre-training audio and written, make sure it’s digital and give that away as the ethical bribe that’s the best ethical bribe.
It’s great for your cause. If you sell consulting you’ll have an ethical bribe that’s a Q&A of the seven most frequently asked questions about your services. If you’re in sales the seven biggest objections people make when trying to sell something.
Make sure it’s auditory or audio based that’s digital. Make sure it’s written so it’s a transcript that’s audio as well, why is that a great ethical bribe? It heats up the prospects so they become a client, customer or student faster, so at VBTPreviewCall.com you don’t have to go get the $20 call to get the ethical bribe.
You have to register to get access to the ethical bribe, but you don’t have to go there to see what it looks like. There’s a picture of the ethical bribe, it’s the seven-step action plan and that’s pre-training for the $20 call, which is pre-training for the $1300 course called Virtual Book Tour Systems I hope that makes sense.
- Step one is the ethical bribe.
- Step two is a $20 call.
The call is $20 because you don’t want a tire kicker and that’s what you’ll get doing a free call. Why is the course $1300? That’s what it is at the time of this recording and it will increase over time.
If you want to experience the seven-step action plan now that I’ve edified it and amplified the importance of it then I’ll give you the seven-step action plan without an ethical bribe, without an Opt-in, you can view and experience it then see what’s inside or what’s behind the curtain without having to purchase the $20 call.
I encourage you to do the same with your own products. I’ve focused on that seven-step action plan. Go to 7StepActionPlan.com and enjoy it, it’s only about 70 minutes and you’ll see that the transcripts are world-class. The audio is from a teleseminar, so it’s repurposed and it’s instant.
It’s an instant ethical bribe you get. People who get signed up for the preview call get it on the thank you page, but I’m giving it to you right now so you get to see what’s behind the curtain.
For an Opt-in what’s a good ethical bribe? A great ethical bribe is something that heats up the prospect, so they can accelerate their speed along the customer continuum so they become a customer faster. As long as it’s free to you and instant to them that’s a great ethical bribe. It furthers your cause and accelerates their decision-making.
That’s how I come up with great ethical bribes and that’s what I want you to do. Some people are random with their ethical bribes and I can’t believe that, it’s inconceivable to me.
An ethical bribe is just that, it’s ethical and it’s bribery. You’re bribing them quid pro quo to take the next step. In this case it’s to pay $20 to listen to a two-hour plus call. In your case it may be a free giveaway.
If you go to MarketingMinute.com you’ll see a free audio and written mini e-course called Action Secrets. That’s just to get in to read the sales letter for marketing minute, which is a $20 per month process. There’s even an ethical bribe if you pay one year in advance, it’s a one-year coaching program, once a week and it costs $20 a month or $199 a year paid in advance.
Guess what? Fifty percent of the people go for the $199, because they go for the additional ethical bribe called the fundamentals of consumption. How to get people to consume more of your products faster, better and with less effort? If you go to MarketingMinute.com you’ll see that bribe it’s free.
You’ll see when you’re opted in you’re being pre-qualified and you’ll also observe if you go to the shopping cart, which is an InfusionSoft shopping cart it’s not a 1ShoppingCart shopping cart it’s an InfusionSoft shopping cart.
You’ll see there’s an ethical bribe if you pay one year in advance you not only save two months of $20 each, but that we cascade and stack that ethical bribe with another one, so you get a special bonus gift, which is an audio e-course called the Fundamentals of Consumption.
You can do the same thing. The words and products are irrelevant in my view. What’s relevant is the context of what’s being done. Follow and creatively imitate the context, model it. If you steal from one source you’re called a plagiarist. If you steal or borrow from many sources you’re considered a researcher.
Be a researcher. I’ve given you many sources so if you’re going to borrow from them and creatively imitate from them that’s great. Nothing would make me happier, because you’ll get to greatness a lot faster.
